The Georgia Force is a franchise primarily recognized by the Arena Football League. The team had two incarnations in the AFL, one spanning between 2002 and 2008, and a short revival lasting between 2011 and 2012. The team folded the first time due to the AFL's ceasing of operations in 2009, and the second time from abysmal attendance rates—so abysmal that team president Corey Remillard declared that "Atlanta [was] simply not a football town." Despite this, the Force were among the better teams in the league in their time, finishing with only two regular season losing records.
