The Cleveland Thunderbolts (formerly the Columbus Thunderbolts) is a franchise primarily recognized by the Arena Football League. The team debuted in 1991 under the title Columbus Thunderbolts before relocating to Cleveland, Ohio and adjusting their name accordingly. As the Detroit Drive were successful, the Thunderbolts were one of the most unsuccessful franchises in league history. Its debut season ended with a 0-10 regular season record, one of only six times in league history that a team went winless in a season. The team folded following the 1994 season.
