The Bossier-Shreveport Battle Wings is a franchise primarily recognized by the Arena Football League. The team was created in 2001 for the AFL's minor league af2. In 2010, they were brought into the AFL. That same year, the Battle Wings announced that the franchise would be folding and moving their base of operations to New Orleans to revive the New Orleans VooDoo. The Battle Wings are one of nine franchises in league history to last only one year with the AFL.
